Backwards

drinking coke for breakfast
staying out late
brown eyes
that smile
your laugh
uh-oh
so scared
denial
safe only with you
pillows: at least 4
my teddy bear
doctor visit
the glow of the monitor
the quiet. then...
bump, bump. bump, bump.
and then
bump, bump, bump, bump. bump, bump, bump, bump.
the sound that changed my life.
clutching my hand
tears. silence.
dont cry. oh, please dont look at me. dont see me cry.
the best hug ever.
four hours
cant breath
why are you touching me?
brown hair
your eyes.
"you are so worth it"
 eat. sleep. work.
quiet.
that smile.
all that hair.
peanut toes.
late night tv
cozy
crying
cuteness
stinky
fast, strong, messy
giggles
walks
grandpas house
late night snuggles
grass up your nose
more giggles
"what are you doing?"
riding a bike
spaghetti
grapes
bedtime stories
good friends
love
more love
late nights
scraping by
exhausted
your smiling face
learning
falling
fustration
well get through this-together
hugs
more hugs
sillyness
one more time
happiness
forgiveness
memories
where we are now
closer
stronger
family

Flashback:

Ah yesterday i went down memory lane and it triggered a domino effect of flashbacks. Here's some of what i remember:

*When i was little my biggest hero was: MY DAD. He was so cool. They way he drove his car was cool. The way he cooked out of the cookbook was cool. The way he dressed was cool. The boots he wore to work were cool. My dad could do know wrong. He could fix anything and do anything.
*Runner up was: MY BIG SISTER. She was awesome. We could ride our big wheels for ours. or play barbies for hours. She was MY big sister. We did everything together...until she took my stuff!!!!
*I had the COOLEST barbie mansion!!! It had lights and beds and a fireplace and a TV!! barbie and me LIVED it UP!!
*the biggest decision i faced was if i was gonna ride my big wheel or my bike.
*playing cars in the dirt was AWESOME!!!! I could drift back then. Into a parking spot. Going super fast.
*tire swings were my first choice at the park
*We had the best sledding hill in the back yard.
*We rollerbladed. in our basement.
*i LOVED doing stuff to irritate my sister. After she moved down to the basement. It was the only way she noticed me!!!!
*I had the coolest snap bracelet. Snap bracelets were cool.

Those are the biggest highlights of my childhood!!! Life was good back then!!! What do you remember about being a kid?

Ode to Jaz!

The focus of this entry is to hightlight some of my little sisters
favorite quotes from a few of our favorite twilight zone episodes
(its all for you jaz!)

Now im not going to explain what happens in the episodes if
you wanna know your going to have to watch it!

What i am going to do is highlight our favorite parts!
You either love it or hate it.
Your call but it doesnt matter because this is for Jaz.

"Five Characters in Search of an Exit."

The Clown
The Clown: [of the Major] Very active chap. Quite a function. Compulsive worker.
The Major: [still tapping the wall] You a big-time psychologist, huh?
The Clown: I'm a clown. It's neither here, there, nor anyplace... I could be a certified public accountant, a financier, a left-handed pitcher who throws only curves... What difference does it make?
[singing to the tune of "Awld Lang Syne" while the Major pounds the wall]
The Clown: We're here, because we're here, because we're h -
[breaks off as the Major turns to stare at him, then brokenly starts up again as he resumes hammering]
The Clown: Because - we're - here...

 "Time Enough to Last"

 Henry Bemis

Henry Bemis: And the best thing, the very best thing of all, is there's time now... there's all the time I need and all the time I want. Time, time, time. There's time enough at last.
[goes to pick up a book, but in doing so his glasses fall off and break. He slowly raises his glasses to his face, seeing they are completely broken]
Henry Bemis: That's not fair. That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was, was all the time I needed...

"Eye of the Beholder"

Nurse One: You ever see her face? Patient 307?
Nurse Two: Indeed I have. If it was mine, I'd bury myself in a grave somewhere.

Janet Tyler: Mr. Smith?
Walter Smith: Yes?
Janet Tyler: Why do we have to look like this?
Walter Smith: I don't know, Miss Tyler. I really don't know. But you know something? It doesn't matter. There's an old saying. A very, very old saying. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." When we leave here, when we go to the village, try to think of that, Miss Tyler. Say it over and over to yourself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Come on now. We'll get your things and we'll leave.

"The Masks"
(my personal favorite)

Emily Harper: [of the Mardi Gras masks he's presented them with] Father, you don't mean - we have to WEAR these ugly things...?
Jason Foster: Only for a few hours. Only 'til the unmasking at midnight.
Paula Harper: Well, I won't wear mine.
Wilfred Harper, Jr.: Me neither; it's stupid.
Wilfred Harper: Well, Father, it seems we're somewhat at odds here.
Jason Foster: Not really, Wilfred. You all came here for one purpose: to watch me go and cry "Bon voyage". To put coins on my closed eyes and with your free hands start grabbing things from my shelves.
Emily Harper: Father, that's cruel.
Jason Foster: That's truth. You've come to reap everything I've sown, to collect everything I've built. Well, I shall not disappoint you. Everything is yours. Everything is prepared, the will isi made; the four of you inherit everything I own. Everything... money, house, property holding, stocks, bonds, everything.
Wilfred Harper: Father, you're breaking our *hearts*.
Jason Foster: Well, that's the most touching thing you ever dredged up by way of conversation, Wilfred... But, I must include this adenda, this small proviso: you shall wear your masks until midnight. If any one of you should take them off, from my estate you shall each receive train-fare back to Boston and *that's it*!
Wilfred Harper: Well, we won't be spoilsports. If this is your pleasure, Father, we'll indulge you!
[slowly, they all don the masks]

Jason Foster: [dying] ... It's what you've all been waiting for, I believe. Now you can dig deep in the treasury.
Emily Harper: Are you feeling - weaker, Father?
Jason Foster: At last... a note of hope in your voice, Emily?
Emily Harper: Father, why must you always say such miserable, cruel things to me?
Wilfred Harper: I quite agree, Father!
Jason Foster: Why indeed, Emily, because you're cruel and miserable people! Because none of you *respond* to love. Emily responds only to what her petty hungers dictate. Wilfred responds only to things that have weight and bulk and value! He FEELS books, he doesn't read them! He APPRAISES paintings, he doesn't seek out their truth or their beauty! And Paula there lives in a mirror; the world is nothing more to her than a reflection of herself. And her brother... Humanity to him is a small animal, caught in a trap, to be tormented! His pleasure is the giving of pain, and from this he receives the same sense of fulfillment most human beings get from a kiss or an embrace! You're CARICATURES, ALL of you! Without your masks, you're CARICATURES!
That last one jaz hasnt seen yet...but there is still time!!!

We need more quotes anyways!!!
