Flashback:

Ah yesterday i went down memory lane and it triggered a domino effect of flashbacks. Here's some of what i remember:

*When i was little my biggest hero was: MY DAD. He was so cool. They way he drove his car was cool. The way he cooked out of the cookbook was cool. The way he dressed was cool. The boots he wore to work were cool. My dad could do know wrong. He could fix anything and do anything.
*Runner up was: MY BIG SISTER. She was awesome. We could ride our big wheels for ours. or play barbies for hours. She was MY big sister. We did everything together...until she took my stuff!!!!
*I had the COOLEST barbie mansion!!! It had lights and beds and a fireplace and a TV!! barbie and me LIVED it UP!!
*the biggest decision i faced was if i was gonna ride my big wheel or my bike.
*playing cars in the dirt was AWESOME!!!! I could drift back then. Into a parking spot. Going super fast.
*tire swings were my first choice at the park
*We had the best sledding hill in the back yard.
*We rollerbladed. in our basement.
*i LOVED doing stuff to irritate my sister. After she moved down to the basement. It was the only way she noticed me!!!!
*I had the coolest snap bracelet. Snap bracelets were cool.

Those are the biggest highlights of my childhood!!! Life was good back then!!! What do you remember about being a kid?

  1. Childhood Highlights:

~Hours with my Barbies. I would only set everything up, admire it, put it away. I had no imagination.

~I loved playing dress up with my mom's hats, scarves, shoes. I played house in my parents closet.

~I always tried making clay sculptures out of the clay that came from our backyard. Never worked as planned.

~Loved to watch my favorite Disney movies with a can of cheese balls. My all time favorite snack as a kid. Later I would sing all of the songs from the movies.

~I loved it when my Dad would bring home refrigerator boxes for my sis and I to play in. He would cut them to have windows and doors.

~Weekend breakfasts with grandparents. Biscuits and honey were the breakfast of choice.

    Good times!
